West Bloomfield Teen Caught in Graffiti Incident

An officer with the Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety was on patrol checking on commercial businesses Saturday when he saw someone spray painting a wall at the Pulte Building at 100 Bloomfield Hills Parkway at about 4:30 p.m., reports said. The male suspect noticed the officer, quickly picked up a backpack and tried to leave. The officer called for back up and ordered the man to stop and come back toward him. Officers identified the teen and detained him at the scene. Inside the backpack were several cans of spray paint. Nearby, officers found a suspicious vehicle and a female teen inside who said she was a friend of the teen they detained. The vehicle belonged to the male suspect.
