The Michigan grocer is partnering with CVS and Rite-Aid to handle customers' prescriptions.
In a move that is sure to upset some of its senior clientele, Busch's Fresh Food Market, an Ann Arbor-based grocery company, is closing all pharmacies in its 15 locations across Southeast Michigan by Oct. 21. The West Bloomfield-area Busch's at 33300 W 14 Mile Rd. will close its pharmacy, along with Busch's in Ann Arbor, Dexter, Pinckney, Plymouth/Northville, Saline, South Lyon and Tecumseh. Customers may return the products to any Busch's Fresh Food Market for a full refund.

The company today announced the voluntary recall of the products, in connection with an expanded voluntary recall announced by Spartan Stores, Inc. due to concerns of possible contact with listeria monocytogenes. A press release issued Thursday morning indicated no products have been identified as coming into contact with the organism, and the products in the voluntary recall have been cooked, which generally kills the bacteria. "However, since we cannot guarantee that, we are exercising extreme caution and asking that all products be discarded or returned for a full refund," the release noted. The products being voluntarily recalled …

That’s precisely why, with a variety of bowl games already sprinting full speed into our lives and more to come (MSU plays Jan. 2 and U-M plays Jan. 3; 35 bowl games total through Jan. 9, and don’t forget Feb. 4 is Super Bowl day), we checked in with our favorite “kitchen quarterbacks.” Cutting right to the party chase, here's the lowdown on everything from crowd-pleasing dips to big-guy sandwiches. “When I have parties at my home, I like to use big, round sourdough or Tuscan loaves, like 10 inches in diameter to make great sandwiches,” said Chef Pete Loren of Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace in Troy. “These are different; …

While shopping at Busch's, pick up a pet product and donate it to the Humane Society.
This is part of a 30-day series of ways Patch community members can give back this holiday season. Busch’s will be collecting items through Dec. 18, at which time all items will be collected and distributed to various animal shelters across Metro Detroit. The ‘Wags and Wishes’ drop boxes will be placed in each market, along with a "wish list" of needed items. Monetary donations can be made at the …
