Yatooma’s Foundation For The Kids, in partnership with Art Van Furniture, will made a very special holiday visit on Saturday to the West Bloomfield home of the Hannawa family, who are facing their first holiday season after the death of a parent. Samir Hannawa, 49, was gunned down while working in Detroit Nov. 7. Santa Claus paid a special visit to several hundred local children in Keego Harbor.
"Santa Claus is Coming to Town" has been a popular refrain in Keego Harbor this week in anticipation of the big guy's scheduled to town. It was no surprise, then, that visitors to the annual tree lighting event were in the midst of song when Santa Claus arrived to Keego. Several hundred children packed in the Keego DPW building Friday night to tell Santa what they wanted for the holiday, partake in karaoke machine carols and have fun thanks to area volunteers and sponsors.
