Police Blotter

Country Club Golf Courses Vandalized; Canadian Teenager Arrested at Kohl's

The following information was provided by the West Bloomfield Township Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

West Bloomfield Township Police Department reports from March 26-April 1 included 78 alarms, 20 crashes and 16 arrests. Among the highlights: Several golf courses were damaged overnight March 31 after vandals broke into a maintenance building at Pine Lake Country Club and borrowed equipment used to tend the grounds, according to Lt. Tim Diamond. Sometime between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. April 1, four maintenance vehicles were driven around causing damage, but nothing was reported missing, Diamond said. "It's a problem we get every now and then with so many golf courses in town," Diamond added. "It's typically kids, particularly when there's nothing stolen. They're just there to do damage." The case has been turned over to the WBPD detective unit…
