Two Injured in Rollover Crash on Orchard Lake Road

A West Bloomfield resident was transported to the hospital after his car overturned in a crash at Orchard Lake and Powers roads Sunday.

A West Bloomfield man was seriously injured and another motorist was hurt in a roll-over crash on Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield Sunday morning, police said. Dispatchers received a call about a two-vehicle crash on Orchard Lake near Powers road at 10:39 a.m., Lt. Tim Diamond of the West Bloomfeld Police Department said. Upon arrival, the officers found one car on it's roof with the driver trapped inside. The 35-year-old West Bloomfield man was removed by paramedics and transported to Beaumont Hospital for treatment. Further details about his condition were unavailable Monday afternoon, Diamond said. Teens Recovering, Motorist Could Face Charges in Sylvan Lake Crash

Authorities await results from blood tests to determine if they'll seek a warrant stemming from last week's crash in Sylvan Lake.

  The injured teens involved in a head-on collision after a motorist crossed the center line of Orchard lake Road in Sylvan Lake last week are out of the hospital and recovering, police said. Meanwhile, the investigation into the crash remains open and could result in criminal charges for operating while under the influence. The 24-year-old Bloomfield Hills man was arrested at the scene of the Feb. 24 crash. Paramedics took him to McLaren Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries and submitted a blood sample for testing of alcohol and drugs, said Officer Eric Zuehlk of the Sylvan Lake Police Department. Sheriff: Teens in Serious Condition Following Early Morning Auto Crash

2004 Dodge Neon crossed center line on Orchard Lake Road in Sylvan Lake on Sunday morning; alcohol is possibly a factor in the crash.

Two 16-year-olds were seriously injured early Sunday when a car they were passengers in crashed on Orchard Lake Road in Sylvan Lake, a news release from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office stated. The teens were in serious condition at McLaren Hospital, according to the release, which was issued Sunday evening. The crash occurred at 3:23 a.m.  when, according to the release, a 2004 Dodge Neon traveling east on Orchard Lake Road at Ward Road crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2003 Pontiac Sunfire. The injured teens were in the Sunfire's backseat, and it is unknown if they were wearing seat belts. The release did not indicate where the teens resided. The defense attorney for the Royal Oak man charged in the crash involving Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson files motions in Rochester Hills District Court.

A Royal Oak man charged with three misdemeanor counts in an August crash involving Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson was in a Rochester Hills courtroom today for a pre-trial hearing before Judge Lisa Asadoorian. Anthony Prainito, 31, the driver of the Volkswagen Passat that Patterson's Chrysler 300 crashed into at the intersection of Walton and Opdyke, is charged with three counts of moving violation causing serious impairment of a bodily function in the crash.
