Unexpected Problems With Power Lines Keep Lanes of Maple-Orchard Lake Intersection Closed
The work that was expected to be completed early Friday morning will last well into the night, officials said.
Several lanes at the intersection of Orchard Lake and Maple roads in West Bloomfield remain closed today for repairs to an underground power line, according to the Road Commission for Oakland County. DTE crews experienced unexpected complications while working on the multiple lanes on both sides of Orchard Lake Road yesterday, a news release stated. The closures were expected to remain through rush hour and up to midnight, but will remain throughout the day Friday, and well into the night. Crews closed the outside southbound lane of Orchard Lake just north of Maple, as well as the westbound outside lane of Maple immediately east and west of Orchard Lake.
