In honor of van Clyborne passing today, I choose Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 in 1958 in the old USSR in a contest for orchestra & piano that resulted in Krushev asking Van Clyborne to become the honored guest of the USSR and helping during the Cold War to keep the peace while I was growing up.
