Is this your favorite scenic drive in the area?
With a weather forecast full of rain showers and fall sports practice kicking off recently, no one would blame you for thinking ahead to fall. Indeed, the Greater West Bloomfield area is home to more than a few areas which can be described as scenic drives — great places to to watch flowers bloom in spring, ducks on the lake in summer, and a cornucopia of color in the fall. Indeed, man tends to look upon his best friend during the hottest days of summer and find an effective simile — hence, "the dog days" referring to Rover's laziness than our own. The origin of the saying has a background going as far back as Ancient Rome. Sirius, also called the Dog Star because it is the brightest star in the constellation Canis Major, was supposedly responsible for the hot weather due to its proximity to the sun. Hot dog!
