BLOOMFIELD HILLS — Brian Jayson-Lee Aponte, the 20-year-old man who barricaded himself at a home in West Bloomfield with a shotgun in October, was bound over as charged this week, awaiting arraignment later this month, according to court records. Aponte remains at Oakland County Jail on $1 million bond after being charged with assault to do great bodily harm less than murder, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, according to records. Brian Jayson-Lee Aponte, the 20-year-old man who barricaded himself at a home in West Bloomfield with a shotgun Thursday, was arraigned and charged with three counts in connection with the stabbing of his 19-year-old brother. Aponte remains at Oakland County Jail after being charged with assault to do great bodily harm less than murder, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony. The incident happened Thursday morning on Crestmore Street in West Bloomfield.
A 20-year-old man who had barricaded himself in a home on the 7100 block of Crestmore Street in West Bloomfield with a shotgun peacefully surrendered to police Thursday morning after a brief standoff. Police were dispatched to the home at 10:48 a.m. in response to a fight between the man and his 19-year-old brother, who were both living at the home with their parents, police said. The fight between brothers resulted in the 19-year-old brother being stabbed once, police said. The victim was conscious and alert and was taken to McClaren Hospital in Pontiac by a family member. Lt. Tim Diamond of West Bloomfield Police said when the family member and the brother had left, the older brother barricaded himself in the home with police outside. …
