This week, Starbucks started offering their caffeinated customers a more eco-friendly way to enjoy their coffee. According to the Detroit Free Press, the coffee giant will begin selling reusable cups on Jan. 3 in an attempt to reduce the waste created by customers purchasing millions of beverages — and then throwing their cups away — every day. The cups will retail for $1 and fill up to a grande size for a cup of joe. Each refill in a reusable cup — be it one of the new tumblers or another Starbucks mug — earns the user a dime off their purchase. I might ruffle a few feathers in saying this, but I love seemingly-excessive Christmas decorations around town. Garland adorning every retail streetlight cannot come soon enough, in my opinion. Why not? I'm sure it's good for the economy. That said, the Pumpkin Spice Latte has been a well-regarded fall drink of choice for years — just ask the Starbucks Coffee Company themselves. The syrup may be artifically-flavored pumpkin, as opposed to the fresh stuff I wrote about last week, but in combination with spices like nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves, and the delicious whipped cream, I'll take it.
