West Bloomfield Schools Closed Today Due To Winter Storm
Inclement weather closes public and private schools, and a winter storm watch is in effect until Wednesday afternoon.
West Bloomfield Schools will be closed today due to wintry weather conditions. It's the second time this month the district cancelled classes due to the weather, and the third so far this year since freezing rain closed schools all around Metro Detroit Jan. 28. Farmington Public Schools, Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham and Walled Lake public schools are also closed, as are Orchard Lake St. Mary's and the Franklin Jewish Academy, according to WXYZ-TV. A winter weather advisory extends into Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
