Planning Commission to Consider Lubavitch Campus Expansion

Michigan Jewish Institute to come before West Bloomfield planners next week.

A plan to build a new addition of more than 16,000 square feet at the Lubavitch Campus is proposed as part of the agenda for the West Bloomfield Township Planning Commission meeting next week. There were 11 separate activities proposed on at the site, located on the north side of Maple Road near Halsted Road, which were granted special use approval by the Township in 1992. The college building site plan came before the township in 2007 and was approved by both the planning commission and township board. The site plan is nearly identical to the previously-approved building; however the site plan approval has expired.
