Rain Expected All Weekend, Snow Could Arrive Saturday Night

Better bring an umbrella if you're headed to one of many events in the community on Sunday.

The possibility of snow in the Greater West Bloomfield area is in the forecast on Saturday night, while rain is expected to fall all weekend. Friday's forecast calls for rain after 1 a.m., amounting to about one tenth to a quarter of an inch possible, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The low will dip down to 35 degrees and it won't get much warmer than that on Saturday. According to the NWS, Saturday will offer rain and snow before 4 p.m., with a high near 41. Little to no snow is expected to accumulate, so put away the shovels. Weekend Weather in West Bloomfield: Sun, Showers, Snow?

A chance of rain and snow is the forecast Friday before temperatures warm up later in the weekend.

A chilly start to December is in the cards for West Bloomfield residents, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Friday's forecast calls for a chance of snow showers before 3 p.m., then a slight chance of rain showers. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent and the high temperature is expected to top out at 43 degrees.  According to the NWS, Saturday will offer warmer temperatures and sun, with a high of 51. A slight south wind picks up into Saturday night as high as 13-15 m.p.h., and the chance of precipitation is 50 percent.  On Sunday, expect to see wind gusts as high as 20 m.p.h. and precipitation, as the chances of rainfall will bump up to 60 percent by then. Veterans Day Forecast: Breezy, High of 65

Sunny skies, wind and a chance of rain in the Greater West Bloomfield area.

Greater West Bloomfield area residents can expect to see sun this weekend but should remain aware of the possibility of rain, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Friday night's forecast calls for clouds and a low of 43 degrees with a 60 percent chance of rain. However, less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected to accumulate and the low should only reach 43 degrees. On Saturday, there is a 30 percent chance of rain and a high near 61 in the forecast. Saturday night's low should dip down to 48 degrees and there are clouds in the forecast. The forecast takes a turn for the warm on Sunday, which is Veterans Day. Temperatures to Drop Just Above Freezing in Metro Detroit This Weekend

Expect lows to dip to the 30s and 40s this weekend in West Bloomfield, despite warm mid-week temperatures. Snow is possible on Monday.

Well, it was nice while it lasted. The blast of 70-plus-degree summer temperatures this week in Metro Detroit are on their way out, according to the National Weather Service. A cold front is headed into the area and expected to drop temperatures to as low as 32 degrees. Here's what the forecast looks like for the weekend, according to the NWS: Bad news: Snow is possible on Monday, according to the NWS, as temperatures are expected to fall to 43 during the day and 32 in the evening.

Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain Expected Monday

The storms could produce heavy rainfall and wind gusts up to 50 m.p.h.

Scattered thunderstorms are likely today and this evening, according to a hazardous weather statement issued early Monday morning by the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac. The best chances for thunderstorms will be between 5 p.m. Monday and 2 a.m. Tuesday, though severe weather is not expected at this time, according to the weather service. The strongest storms, however, could produce wind gusts up to 50 m.p.h. as they move east at 25 m.p.h. The storms will also be able to produce locally heavy rainfall.
