Storm Knocks Out Power for Thousands in West Bloomfield Area

DTE Energy estimates power will be restored by 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

More than 2,000 DTE Energy customers in the West Bloomfield area lost power Sunday night, as a strong storm and high winds blew through southeast Michigan. 

DTE reports that more than 392,000 customers throughout metro Detroit are without power Monday morning. 

According to the company's outage map, restoration in most areas is expected by 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. 

DTE encourages customers to report downed power lines and power outages through its mobile website, or online at dteenergy.com, or by using the DTE Energy Outage Center app on their iPhone or Android phone, or by calling 800-477-4747.
