Man Wearing Women's Undies Faces Shoplifting Charge

The following information is provided by West Bloomfield Township Police. Arrests and charges do not indicate a conviction.

A 20-year-old Sylvan Lake man faces charges in West Bloomfield, after walking out of Kohl's at 14 Mile and Orchard Lake Road while wearing two pairs of women's panties.

According to Lieutenant Tim Diamond, the store's loss prevention personnel called police at around 3 p.m. on Sept. 18, after the man tried to leave the store without paying for the underwear. They had seen him take the underwear and other items into a dressing room, and he paid for everything but the underwear when he checked out.

"They stopped him at the door and asked about the underwear," Diamond said. "He said he was wearing them."

The man posted bond and was released.
