Quick Change Artists Take $250 from West Bloomfield Businesses

Police say two men confused employees at Tan Tan Room and Stage Deli.

West Bloomfield Township Police are looking for two men who tricked employees at two businesses on July 21 and made away with $250.

According to Lieutenant Tim Diamond, the "quick change artists" walked into Tan Tan Room tanning salon and Stage Deli on Orchard Lake Road at around 4:30 p.m., asking to change a larger bill. Through a series of transactions, they took $120 at Tan Tan and $130 at Stage Deli.

"They just confuse the clerk," Diamond said.

Police are looking for a vehicle in connection with the case, after a witness provided a license plate number.
