Sandra Layne, 74, of West Bloomfield in 48th District Court in Bloomfield Township today, where she was arraigned on an open murder charge in the shooting death of her grandson, 17-year-old Jonathan Hoffman, on Friday.

Jonathan Hoffman, 17, of West Bloomfield died Friday as a result of multiple gunshot wounds, the Oakland County Medical Examiners office reported.
