Read to a Dog and Other Can't-Miss October Events at the Library

The West Bloomfield Township Public Library offers many events for all ages–just check out the busy October calendar on the library's website. 

Here are a few events we found most interesting: 

1. Vintage Motor Car Display

Stroll along a memory lane of classic and vintage motor vehicles from Motown and beyond, Oct. 12, noon to 4 p.m.

2. Read to a Dog

Kindergarten through fifth graders can practice reading skills by reading to a friendly canine. Oct. 13, 1 p.m.-2 p.m.

3. Friends of the Library Book Sale

There's a Friday preview event just for Friends (you can join at the door), and books are $5 a bag on Sunday. Oct. 19, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Oct. 20, 12 p.m.-5 p.m.

4. Music @ Main: Uncle Bonsai

This Seattle trio performs original, contemporary folk and pop music with three-part harmony and humor. Oct. 27, 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
