Weekend Countdown: Grand Reopening of Cranbrook

It's Wednesday and some of you are finally half way through the work and school week. It's always fun to look ahead at what's going on in and around town for the next weekend. We are going to pick some of the fun events daily to help you plan and count down until it's the weekend again.

Why go: Cranbrook Art Museum is finally reopening, and they have eleven days of celebrating to offer. On Friday night, you can attend the public opening reception. There will be three live musicians/bands as EMERGENCE presents "A Night of Music: Night One." Invincible is a Detroit based hip-hop artist and activist whose wordplay is popular across the world. The Rarities, is a Detroit duo who mix hip-hop flavor with intense cello playing. The Cupcake Collective has a multi-genre approach to music. They are a Detroit DJ collective of queer folks and allies who believe in diversity on the dance floor.
