Everyone's a Winner in Patch Concert Contest

Five West Bloomfield Patch readers each won a pair of tickets to see the Detroit Symphony Orchestra at the Jewish Community Center.

It could be argued that anyone who gets to see the Detroit Symphony Orchestra perform for free is a winner. In this instance, everyone who entered the at the was a winner.

Patch users Jessica Raetz Maurer, Maxwell D. Lowe, Nancy Kaufman, Margie Fiszman-Kirsch and KathyB each won a pair of tickets to the show Thursday, as part of the DSO's Neighborhood Concert Series. (Winners, please get in touch at tim.rath@patch.com!)

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and features Joseph Silverstein as conductor and violinist. Pieces include Coriolan Overture and Symphony No. 2 (Beethoven) and Violin concerto No. 5 (Mozart).

To enter, these five users recounted a February Patch article, in which at the busy intersection of Northwestern Highway and Orchard Lake Road. Users suggested that a restaurant or movie theater occupy the former Dunham's Sports building that moved across the street.
