Local Mom Seeks to Connect Others During Holiday Season

Every day, our video series 'Wake Up' aims to know West Bloomfield and its people better.

Good morning, West Bloomfield!

Yesterday, I met with Josephine Fermanian, a Commerce resident raised in West Bloomfield who recently launched Moms for Michigan, a Facebook community dedicated to helping the Michigan business community thrive through grassroots connectivity. Fermanian is a "momtrepreneur" in her own right — she's the founder of Germs Begone, an organic cleaner she originally created to help her son, and PediaOrganic, an organic, delicious response to problems caused by child dehydration. These are two products under the umbrella, Detroit Organics.

Fermanian already works with local businesses including and to sell Detroit Organics products and seems to be a natural fit to reach out to other area businesses. To me, it seems like a great idea to "Like" the group now, during the holiday shopping season.
