New Diet Center Opens Thursday in West Bloomfield

Diet Center West Bloomfield will host a grand opening and ribbon cutting with the Greater West Bloomfield Chamber on Jan. 23, 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m., at 6736A Orchard Lake Rd.

The event will include free Body Composition Analysis, giveaways, raffles, product and recipe tastings and more. Diet Center will also offer a grand opening special for those who want to get started losing weight. 

Owner Marla Kaminsky, a native of southeastern Michigan, moved to Memphis, TN when her husband, Jeff, was transferred in 2011. With the help of Diet Center, she lost 40 pounds, and later purchased a franchise.

“We are the weight loss professionals," Kaminsky said in a press release. "We have been helping people for 40 years. It is refreshing to be part of a company that measures our success in pounds lost. My goal is to help turn Southeastern Michigan into one of the fittest cities in the country!”
