On the Agenda: West Bloomfield Township Board to Weigh School Plan, Site Plans

The West Bloomfield Township Board will on Monday consider a cooperative agreement that would allow the Greater West Bloomfield Cable Communications Commission to move from to the .

The 7½-year agreement with the West Bloomfield School District, which owns the media center and uses it to operate WBTV, will "combine resources, provide the school district with a valuable service and provide for effective and cost efficient services to the district and by the commission," according to the agenda.

The commission will not pay the district for use of the center, according to the agreement.

Through last June, the district has used the center for printing and as the home of WBTV; however, the agreement includes an altered floor plan for the center, which the commission will pay for. The district no longer uses the center for printing, and the commission said it plans to operate WBTV and Civic Center TV from the center.

Additional items on the Township Board's agenda Monday include expansion plans for , which was previously approved by the Planning Commission at a meeting last summer, as well as a , which was denied by the Planning Commission at a meeting last summer.

The board is also expected to continue consideration of budgets discussed at last week's special meeting.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. Monday in Town Hall. It will be broadcast live on CCTV and will be available to stream on civiccentertv.com.
