Rain, High Winds in Overnight Forecast for West Bloomfield

Although temperatures will be above freezing Sunday night and into Monday, overnight rain may cause some roads to be slippery by morning.

According to a "hazardous weather statement" issued by the National Weather Service, "while air temperature will be above freezing ... ground temperature could still be cold enough for the rain to produce slick conditions on secondary roads or rural unpaved roads that still have snow cover."

The rain could turn to snow on Monday afternoon.

In addition, a wind advisory has been issued for the Greater West Bloomfield on Monday; winds gusts will reach up to 40 to 50 mph, and the strongest winds will arrive during the afternoon and early evening period. 

Temperatures will be mild for the next several days, according to the forecast:

• Monday: High of 42 degrees; low of 26 degrees
• Tuesday: High of 32 degrees; low of 23 degrees
• Wednesday: High of 36 degrees; low of 25 degrees
