More Snow on the Way; 'Difficult' Morning Commute Expected
Lesser amounts of snow are expected in our area, as a storm system which was expected to drop half a foot of snow on West Bloomfield overnight has shifted north.
A low pressure system which was previously expected to drop as much as six to eight inches of snow on the Metro Detroit area is now expected to hit West Bloomfield less so.
According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, a winter storm warning is still in effect until 7 p.m. Friday. The low pressure system is now expected to move further north, hitting hardest north of M-59 and in the Saginaw Valley area, dropping two to five inches of snow on Metro Detroit.
It also appeared early Friday morning that school would remain in session for West Bloomfield students. Meanwhile, and Our Lady of Refuge is closed.

A remains in effect for the area through Friday morning. Rain and sleet are now expected in the forecast, with northerly wind gusts of up to 35 m.p.h. causing snow drifts.
Expect snow-covered and slippery roads tonight and Friday morning. Motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution on the slippery roads.
