Why go: The Janice Charach Gallery, the Berman Center for the Performing Arts, and the Special Needs Department of the Jewish Community Center partnered to develop the Art with Heart Project back in December. The Project is a tour of the arts that celebrates inclusion, diversity and the community. Artists include individuals of all ages and abilities that created original art work with found and recycled items. Each artist will be displaying one piece of art in the Art with Heart Exhibition. Part of the proceeds from each sale will be given to the artist and the other part will go back into the program to to benefit the annual JCC’s Got Talent event to be held March 1.

Why go: If the winter blues are starting to set in, why not brighten your home with a beautiful seasonal basket filled with long-lasting green and flowering plants?  will show you how to create these beautiful baskets and provide all the supplies for you on Saturday. Then you get to take it home to enjoy all year long.

Where:

When: Sunday at 5:30 p.m.

Why go:  begins their Israeli film series this weekend with a showing of I Love You Rosa. The 1972 Academy Award-nominated film was directed by Moshé Mizrahi. The film is a romantic drama that tells the story of a young 11 year old boy who according to the Jewish tradition of yibum (Levirate marriage), must marry his brother's spouse on the death of his brother. Rosa, who is the widow, is not interested in remarriage or child-rearing. But as time passes a love story unfolds. Afterwards enjoy a presentation by Professor Howard Lupovitch who will also lead an interactive discussion.

Where: , Farmington Hills

When: Sunday from 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

Why go: After 44 years, this long-standing local restaurant will be closing its doors. Bring in the family for your last time to dine with the big Buggy bear and to enjoy menu favorites including Marty salad, Boop's smothered chicken, Buckboard sandwiches, homemade bean soup, or cheese bread made only the way Family Buggy can make it. Children enjoy that green jello, the little hot fudge sundaes, and the plastic toys that come with their meals. Browse the general store on your way out and pick up a little momento. The restaurant has been a family favorite for over four decades, and it is unfortunately time to say good-bye to the Payne family and all the memories and joy they have created and shared with so many people in the area.
