Weekend Weather: Grab an Umbrella, West Bloomfield

It should be a rainy weekend, according to the National Weather Service. Hunker down with Patch.

Greater West Bloomfield area residents can expect to see rain on Friday and Saturday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Friday night's forecast calls for showers likely before you go to bed. There is a 70 percent chance of showers, with rainfalls amounting to between one-tenth to one-quarter inch possible. It won't be easy to look at the stars, either, with clouds in the forecast and wind gusts of up to 18 m.p.h. possible. The low should be around 48 degrees, according to NWS. 

Saturday's forecast calls a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m., then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 8 a.m. The chance of rain climbs up to 80 percent by Saturday, with a high of 60 degrees, according to NWS.

Why not stay inside at Schulak Farm, where a Vintage Fashion Show is sure to impress? (1 p.m., cost of admission is $5 for non-members of the Greater West Bloomfield Historical Society) The show will feature community members and volunteers modeling outfits with all the appropriate accessories from the 1920s through the 1960s. 

Sunday's forecast calls for a 20 percent chance of showers, a high near 57 degrees, and wind gusts as high as 20 m.p.h. Sunday night should be mostly cloudy with a high around 41 degrees, according to NWS.

Looking ahead to the Monday morning commute, the skies should be mostly sunny with a high of 61 degrees.
