You Said It: Roundabout or Four-Lane Boulevard?

Everyone's got opinions and Patch is the place to share them. This week we asked West Bloomfield residents and business people if they preferred an idea to construct a roundabout at the corner of Orchard Lake Road and 14 Mile Road or a four-lane boulevard

West Bloomfield residents are largely pleased that the to approve a proposal from the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) to have a and a roundabout constructed at Orchard Lake and Maple roads.

We asked shopping residents and commuting workers at the corner of Orchard Lake and Maple if they preferred the township place a precedence on the boulevard, or if they preferred the roundabout instead. Almost everyone replied that they preferred the boulevard option, owing to traffic and safety hazards of roundabouts.

The Board will ask RCOC to place a p, as opposed to the roundabout, through legal council.
