There's a Fly in my soup - Author Karin Katz to speak at JCC Book Fair

Karin Katz, local author, will visit the Jewish Community Center Book Fair Thursday, November 7th at 11:00am.

“There’s a Fly in
My Soup,”
tells the story
of a hungry fly who eats and plays on a little girl’s food without permission.
As anger and exasperation brew in her, she never swats him or uses physical
harm.  This lends itself to the “no more
bullying” policy that is growing worldwide and demonstrates tolerance.  Eventually the fly apologizes, and they
become friends illustrating forgiveness.  There’s a fly in my
soup is short rhyming story that teaches tolerance, manners and respect. It
depicts these virtues in an age appropriate way by using restraint and
forgiveness that eventually lead to friendship.
