Help Kids at Killer's Christmas Party in Keego Harbor
Celebrity bartenders will appear at the event, which raises funds for children's charities.
The charitable spirit of the late sportswriter Tom Kowalski, who died unexpectedly in 2011, lives on in Killer's Christmas, a Dec. 6 fundraiser held at The Lodge Bar & Grill in Keego Harbor.
The event benefits Team Joseph, Our Children’s Fund of West Bloomfield, Detroit Lions charities and Detroit Tigers charities. Drinks will be served up by an array of celebrity bartenders throughout the event.
The Oakland Press reports that auction items will include sports event tickets, autographed sports memorabilia and gift certificates to area restaurants and golf courses. In addition, The Lodge will donate the entire day's proceeds to the Killer Kowalski Foundation.
