Bricker-Tunis Fur Store Employee Accused of Embezzlement

reports from Jun. 12-18 included 67 alarms, 38 crashes and 16 arrests. Among the highlights:
Police believe that a former employee of may be have been involved in an embezzlement scheme over the past 4-8 years, according to Police Lt. Tim Diamond.
Management told police last week that they found $50,000 missing from records after investigating the alleged impropriety and believe that the 43-year-old woman had been writing checks to herself. Diamond said that management fired the 10-year employee, who had been in charge of preparing payroll.

Car stolen from driveway in gated community
A 1998, white Ford Windstar was reported as stolen after the owner said it was taken from a driveway on the 7000 block of Pebble Point, according to Diamond.
Police believe the incident occurred sometime overnight between Jun. 13-14. The converted postal vehicle was worth about $1,000, according to the 39-year-old man who reported the incident. There were no signs of forced entry and police have no suspects.
