Commercial Building Fire Causes Minor Structural Damage

The West Bloomfield Fire Department responded to a commercial building fire Monday at , according to a news release issued by Fire Marshal Pat Riney.

Firefighters immediately began an offensive interior fire attack and were able to quickly extinguish the fire, which caused minor structural damage, according to building management. Structural damage is estimated at about $100,000, the release said.

According to the release, a passer-by reported the fire by calling 911. One firefighter suffered a minor injury but was able to return to duty, the release stated. The gallery was closed Tuesday. Management declined further comment and photographs.
