Man Arrested for Impersonating Officer

West Bloomfield Police responding to domestic dispute were given outdated ID.

An officer responding to a domestic incident in the early morning hours of April 6 arrested a Detroit man for impersonating a police officer, a  report states.

After police responded to the 3000 block of Winchester, where the man, Marshall Dixon Bey, 48, and his girlfriend had been in dispute, Bey produced a wallet and badge for identification that indicated he is an enforcement officer for the Michigan Court of Appeals, first district, with a rank of lieutenant, Lt. Tim Diamond said.

The officer had met Bey months earlier on a call and noted his identification as "strange," Diamond said. Upon investigation, the officer found the identification to be outdated by more than 10 years.
