Thieves Hit Locked Vehicles in West Bloomfield

Incidents on Greenbriar and Village Square are under investigation.

West Bloomfield Township Police detectives are investigating reports of vehicle break-ins over the past week.

According to Lieutenant Tim Diamond, thieves hit locked cars parked in the driveways of homes in the 5000 block of Greenbriar and the 7000 block of Village Square overnight between Oct. 2 and 3. The homes are located in neighborhoods between Farmington and Drake Roads, north of 14 Mile.

On Greenbriar, the vehicle's door was pried open and $800 in stereo equipment was taken, along with baseball equipment in a bag. Items taken from two 2013 Cadillacs on Village Square included an orange purse, laptop computer, black purse and make-up bag. Credit cards taken from those vehicles were used in Fraser and Warren, Diamond said.
