West Bloomfield Officials Dedicate 'Unknown Soldier' Monument Monday
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier monument is located near Town Hall.
A monument at the West Bloomfield Township Civic Center that honors fallen soldiers and all veterans will be dedicated Monday, Veterans Day, during a 9 a.m. ceremony in front of Town Hall.
Township officials and the Macon-Thomas Chapter Tuskegee Airmen worked together on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier monument project.
“The monument serves as a memorial to all the men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice — their life — to the service of their country,” William Burnett, veteran and West Bloomfield Tuskegee Airmen chapter president told the West Bloomfield Beacon.
The ceremony is open to the public.
