Celebrate, Remember Ealy During Friday Tribute

The tribute, including a ceremonial balloon launch, happens during the annual school fair.

To mark the closing of Ealy Elementary, present and former school families, staff and friends are invited to a special tribute event on Friday, June 7, 4 p.m.-9 p.m., in conjunction with the school's annual fair. 

"Tribute to Ealy" will include a historical video, a ceremonial balloon launch, live music, a DJ and a presentation of a time capsule to the Greater West Bloomfield Historical Society.

Township Supervisor Michele Economou Ureste will present a special proclamation. Other speakers will include West Bloomfield School Board of Education President Randi Sakwa, Superintendent Dr. Gerald D. Hill, West Bloomfield Township Police Chief Mike Patton, and Helen Peters from the Greater West Bloomfield Historical Society.

Activities during the fair will include music and dancing, food, photo booths, bounce houses, games, human bowling and face painting, all free of charge. 

Additional parking will be available at Orchard Lake Middle School, with a free shuttle to Ealy Elementary.
