West Bloomfield Theater Students Help with Disaster Drill

For a third year, young actors get improv experience as they help Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital train for disaster response.

West Bloomfield High School Theatre Arts Program students honed their improvisational skills recently, in a Disaster Response Training session at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital.

Head of Security Ron Hnilica approached Micah Greene, Director of Theatre Arts Program to have theatre students participate because he felt that student actors would do the best job at playing the role of "victims". The hospital gains valuable training experience, and the student actors have a chance to take part in a real world performance event.

This is the third year students participated in the training.

"It was a lot of fun, and it was a really great opportunity to polish improvisation skills," said senior Nick Kisse.
