St. Mary's Clinches Catholic League Title, No. 200 for Porritt in Last Second Win

The Eaglets beat Detroit Catholic Central on the road, 14-13, on Saturday, to clinch win No. 200 for head coach George Porritt.

Thanks to two rushing touchdowns by running back Spencer McInnis, the Orchard Lake St. Mary's varsity football team held on during the final few seconds of Saturday's game against Detroit Catholic Central to win, 14-13.

The win marks No. 200 for Eaglets' head coach George Porritt and clinches the Catholic League Central division title for St. Mary's, who stand at 7-1 overall on the season.

The loss marks Catholic Central's only loss of the season at 7-1. The Shamrocks will play St. Mary's again in the Prep Bowl next week Saturday, Oct. 22, and have an opportunity for revenge. Kickoff time is at 7 p.m.
