Lakers' Coach Crosby Wins No. 200

Good morning, West Bloomfield!

Yesterday, I went to to watch the boys varsity swimming and diving team take on Hazel Park in the Lakers' second meet of the season.

It was exciting to watch the team win its first meet of the year — led by stellar performances from Andrew Jacob and John Yurich, as well as Eric Vrbensky, Joshua Geer, and Nick Basel — knowing that the win marked No. 200 in a stellar, 36-year career for head coach Bob Crosby. Congratulations to Coach Crosby on a remarkable win!

The National Weather Service calls for the following Wednesday forecast:

Day: Rain, with thunderstorms also possible after 1 p.m. High near 43 degrees. South wind between 6-14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent.

Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Temperature rising to around 51 degrees by 5 a.m. Breezy, with a south southwest wind between 17-22 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent.
