Enjoy a Free Outdoor Concert and More This Week in West Bloomfield

Here are five pieces of information to fuel your week in West Bloomfield.

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in West Bloomfield to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. For your information

The Township's electronic newsletter is now online and jammed with information about events and activities happening in and around West Bloomfield. Read it online or download a copy from the township website

2. Planning commission meets

On the commission's Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. agenda are renovation plans for two restaurants: Shogun's, 5656 W. Maple Road, and Socialite Bistro, 6139 Haggerty Road. 

3. Marshbank concert 

Motor City Women and Detroit Express will perform Wednesday, 7 p.m., at Marshbank Park, 2805 Hiller Road, kicking off West Bloomfield Township Parks and Recreation's Hot Nights, Hot Music free concert series. The Optimist Club will be running the concession stand. 

4. Make new friends

Mix and mingle with the Greater West Bloomfield Chamber at Friendship Circle, 6892 W. Maple Rd., on Wednesday at 8 a.m. Admission is $5, or free for Chamber members.

5. Look ahead: Used Book Sale

The Friends of the West Bloomfield Township Public Library will hold their Summer Used Book Sale Friday through Sunday in the Meeting Room of the  main library at 4600 Walnut Lake Road. There's a preview for members Friday, 7 p.m.-9 p.m., and you can join at the door. Learn more on the library's website
