Chris Morrisroe is a Communications Professional who has successfully managed strategies in all aspects of communications for over 25 years. She opened Chris Morrisroe Communications (CMC) in 2009 to support organizations wishing to benefit from her skills.
Morrisroe began her career at JL Hudson’s Department Stores (now Macy’s) holding positions in buying, distribution, public relations and special events. Her years at Hudson’s gave her the opportunity to create and execute many large celebrity appearances including Elizabeth Taylor, Cher, Muhammad Ali and others. She also played a major role in large community events such as Fash Bash at the Fox Theatre and the Hudson’s Freedom Festival Fireworks in Downtown Detroit.
After leaving Hudson’s, Morrisroe’s retail experience went on to include the introduction of a new store format for Frank’s Nursery & Crafts called Frank’s 5 Seasons and creating communication departments for Art Van Furniture.
Chris’ career also took two departures from retail: 1) She was a member of an executive team that created and operated Small Times Media, a media company promoting small technologies, and; 2) Chris was the manager of the newly formed Sustainability Communications position for the Public Affairs Department at Ford Motor Company.
