Detroit Lions Honor Walled Lake Warriors for Warriors Event

The annual fundraiser for cancer charities earns recognition during Sunday's game.

The Detroit Lions and National Football League, during Sunday's Lions vs. Cincinnati Bengals game, honored Walled Lake Western's Warriors for Warriors annual fundraising event benefitting cancer charities. 

Warriors head football coach Mike Zdebski and event co-chairs Linda Ishbia and Amy Murdie picked up a commemorative football at Ford Field.

The Walled Lake Western varsity football team's third annual Pink-Out game Sept. 20 raised funds for Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for the Cure, St. Baldrick's Foundation for Pediatric Cancer and Coaches vs. Cancer in association with the American Cancer Society.
